The 1995 movie The Usual Suspects has a great line in it, spoken by Kevin Spacey’s character near the end:

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.

Where did this come from? Was it Baudelaire? Sort of, but variants go back at least as far as 1836. At least, that is case according to research done by the Quote Investigator site.
